About these terms
By using karenpickleball.com or ordering a review, you agree to these terms. The site is run by Karen Mishkin, an independent pickleball coach in Denver, Colorado. Contact: karen@karenpickleball.com.
Not affiliated with Mile Hi City Pickleball
Karen's video reviews, free tips and drawings are offered by Karen Mishkin. They are not sponsored by, endorsed by, or affiliated with Mile Hi City Pickleball.
Lessons, classes, and programs at Mile Hi are booked through and governed by Mile Hi City Pickleball's own terms.
Video reviews
Packages are described on the video review page. Karen's feedback is coaching opinion. Her take on your level is an informal coach's opinion, not a DUPR or club rating. For an official number, book a Club Rating session at Mile Hi City Pickleball. Turnaround is the time stated on the site. For a Single-Skill Review: Back within 24 hours Monday-Friday, 48 hours Saturday-Sunday. The clock starts when Karen receives the video (the submission arrives), not at payment. A Game Breakdown's turnaround is shown on that page when it is set. Karen may decline a video that is unusable (for example if the player isn't visible) and refund it in full. Karen's review queue may be paused.
Payment
Prices are in US dollars, as shown when you order. Payment is by Venmo to Karen's Venmo account. Venmo's own terms and fees apply (for example, Venmo charges the sender for credit card payments). No payment info is collected or stored on this site.
Satisfaction guarantee
If you're not happy with a paid review, email Karen within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, no questions asked. Refunds go back by Venmo to the account that paid.
Your videos and privacy
Consent. You confirm everyone identifiable agreed to share the video with Karen for coaching.
Use. Your video is private, used only for your review, and never posted publicly or used in marketing without written permission from everyone shown.
Deletion. Uploaded files are deleted 30 days after the review is delivered.
Links. You stay in control and can unshare a link any time.
What the site stores. Your name, email, order or request details, and your consent ticks; a random device ID cookie, used only to enforce the free-tip limits; and no payment details.
Your email. It is used to deliver your review or tip and, if you opted in, future email updates when Karen starts sending them. To be removed from the list, email Karen at karen@karenpickleball.com.
Your video stays yours. You give Karen permission to view it only to coach you.
Free Quick Tip
The Free Quick Tip is free, one per email address. It is unlocked by watching Karen's welcome video on the site. The one-time code is good for 24 hours. Each device gets 3 tries a day to prevent abuse. You confirm by email. Joining Karen's email updates list, which is not currently sending regular messages, is part of the offer. Karen sends tips as her schedule allows. No deadline is promised. Karen may decline requests that break these terms.
Monthly drawing: official rules
No purchase or payment necessary to enter or win; buying a review does not improve your chances. Entry: you are entered automatically, once per calendar month, when you unlock a free Quick Tip on karenpickleball.com that month; limit one entry per person per month. Eligibility: 18 or older (or a parent/guardian enters for a minor), US residents; Karen's household is not eligible. Prize: one Game Breakdown video review (approximate retail value $45), no cash alternative, not transferable. Drawing: one winner chosen at random from that month's entries on or about the 1st of the following month. The winner is notified by email and has 14 days to reply, or a new winner is drawn. Odds depend on the number of entries. Sponsor: Karen Mishkin, karenpickleball.com, karen@karenpickleball.com. Not sponsored by or affiliated with Mile Hi City Pickleball. Void where prohibited. Entry emails are used only to run the drawing and the newsletter they signed up for.
"Unlock" means your free-tip request was confirmed by email.
Health and safety
Pickleball is physical activity. Drills and advice are general coaching. Use your own judgment, play within your limits, and check with a doctor if you are unsure. Karen is not responsible for injuries from doing drills.
Karen's materials
Drill PDFs, videos, and notes are for your personal use. Don't resell or republish them.
Limits of liability
The site and services are provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Karen's total liability is limited to what you paid for the review in question.
Changes
Karen may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Orders follow the terms in place when they were placed.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, USA.
